The Circular Economy Bill was first proposed by the Scottish Government in 2019. There have been two consultations; the second sought views on whether the bill should take powers across four themes: strategic interventions, reduce and reuse, recycling, and littering and improving enforcement.
The latest update is an analysis, undertaken by Ricardo, of the responses the Government received to the second consultation. Chapter 4 provides a summary of responses to each question, including the preferred proposals.
