Natural Resource Wales (NRW) have published a consultation on regulatory fees and charges for 2024/2025.

In 2023/2024, funding from regulatory fees constituted about 16% of total NRW funding. The review of fees and charges are largely driven by inflationary pressures and responsible management of deficits to ensure full cost recovery. The review has concentrated on the control of major accident hazards, species licensing, and inflationary pressures.

The consultation is open until 8th January 2024.
