Environment Agency Chief Executive Sir James Bevan sends New Years letter
The Chief Executive of the Environment Agency (EA), Sir James Bevan, has sent out a letter setting out the EA’s plans for 2021. Sir Bevan highlighted the EA’s role in the run-up to the 26th UN Climate Change Conference. In addition, he outlined the measures taken by the EA to ensure safe operation of its staff throughout the Covid pandemic, the new in-depth review following rising Covid rates to ensure that their current systems remain sufficient, and the critical operations which the EA has managed to carry out safely in spite of Covid and will continue to carry out this year.
