The rules for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will change on 1st April, to make it easier for biomethane producers to access Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) support. Previously, producers could only get support as a transport fuel by giving up an entire quarter of RHI. The new rules give flexibility to producers to choose what proportion of their injection over a quarter they wish to claim RHI on.
