• REA releases full list of finalists for the British Renewable Energy Awards;
• Over 100 finalists announced over 16 categories;
• The Awards will take place in Birmingham, the first time they’ve been taken outside London in their 18 year history.

The REA has released the full list of finalists for the 2022 British Renewable Energy Awards, the UK’s most prestigious event in the renewable energy calendar.

This year’s event, sponsored by Drax, will take place on Thursday 9th June in Birmingham at the Botanical Gardens, and will see Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner taken outside of London for the first time.

The Awards consist of 16 categories, ranging from Installer of the Year through to best Young RE Professional – over 100 organisations and individuals have been put forward as finalists.

The awards are now into their 18th year, and celebrate the next ‘Game Changers’, recognising the brilliant work of those organisations and individuals pushing for system change as we push for Net Zero by 2050.

Dr Nina Skorupska CBE, Chief Executive of the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA), said:

“I am absolutely delighted to reveal such an incredible list of finalists for this year’s British Renewable Energy Awards.

“One of the real privileges of my job is to celebrate the brilliant work of so many organisations and individuals in our sector and this year there are over 100 exceptional finalists.

“They are the ‘Game Changers’ who are leading the way on the path to Net Zero.

“I am also really excited to be taking our Awards out of London for the first time, and I can’t wait to welcome people to Birmingham – please do join us.”
