Report on landfill future economics

Defra published a report before Christmas mapping available capacity for landfill against demand and the economics of operating sites. We will be joined by Anne Jones from Defra to discuss the report and industry views on next steps.

We will also provide an update of other activities. Detailed agenda to follow, but this will include:

• Ofgem and the Renewables Obligation
• DNO initiatives to facilitate trading of under-used capacity
• Enduring arrangements to allow disconnection of distribution-connected generation as a last resort
