The British Energy Security Strategy announced on 7th April 2022 the UK Government’s intention to double its ambition to up to 10GW of low carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030, with at least half of this target coming from electrolytic hydrogen. Government has committed to meet the aspiration of 2GW of low carbon hydrogen production capacity in operation or construction by 2025, with 1GW for electrolytic hydrogen.

To achieve this goal, concerted effort and cooperation from industry, Government, regulators, the investment community, and other key organisations is required to ensure that all pieces of the jigsaw puzzle come together.

This REA event will bring together key stakeholders and experts to discuss the latest policy, regulatory and technical developments supporting the hydrogen economy as well as showcasing industry and looking at the practical implementation of key regulatory and standard requirements for projects to get off the ground.
