In this issue:
- The development of the Regulatory Services Platform (ReSP) has been paused, delaying the introduction of an online portal for submitting Deployment actions. This setback affects the planned transition from the current email-based system to an online application process, though ReSP remains in use internally for permit application management by various teams.
- An evaluation of performance data shows that from July 2023 to June 2024, application processing remained steady with a slight decrease in applications issued from April to May, while the average number of deployments in the queue increased slightly. Work is allocated within 7 days, with an average determination time of 8 days, although there may be brief delays in late August due to summer leave.
- Each deployment is assessed individually, and decisions on previous applications do not influence future deployments or responses to requests for information (RFIs).
- If the permit holder’s address changes, you must update the permit to reflect the new address, ensuring it matches Companies House records. Additionally, operators must notify the EA of any changes to trading names, registered names, or office addresses within 14 days, as failing to do so is an offence under Regulation 38(2) of EPR 2016.
