The HSE and BEIS are working closely with the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) and the wider industry, to develop safe options for the revision of the current GB gas quality specification as detailed in the Gas Safety (Management) Regulations 1996 (GSMR). The REA has expressed some concerns on the potential impact of the new gas quality specification on the green gas sector.
