This page contains information relating to the REA’s call to action for the new government, made ahead of the 2024 General Election. This call to action took the form of the First 100 Days Action Plan, a series of key policy asks across all of the REA’s strategic pillars.
Now that we have passed the 100 day milestone, we have reflected on the Government’s progress in this blog. The information below will be kept available, as they continue to provide a guide to the policies that will help enable a successful energy transition.
Organised across the REA strategic pillars of Circular Bioresources; Heat and Cooling; Power and Flexibility; Transport; and cross Pillar objectives, the First 100 Days action plan sets out a comprehensive policy platform that would provide long-term assurances to the sector, and ensure the UK is once more positioned as a global leader in the energy transition.
Each Pillar document sets out an overarching vision for the next government, and a series of steps and policy actions to be rolled out quickly and have an immediate impact.
